Minitub do Brasil celebrates its 25th anniversary
Our subsidiary Minitub do Brasil was founded in 1997 in Porto Alegre and is therefore celebrating 25 years of existence! As the second subsidiary of Minitüb GmbH after the foundation of Minitüb Slovakia in 1996, Minitub do Brasil was born from the fact that importing goods with its own subsidiary is easier and cheaper. Furthermore, pig insemination in the mid 90's was starting to become interesting for Brazilian producers and there was a growth of this market in the region.
With Dr. Luiz Paulo Hoppe, an experienced and well-known veterinarian in Brazil at the time, taking over Minitube's subsidiary, the company would be in good hands to be able to start developing in South America safely.
Alexandre Marchetti, Dr. Hoppe's successor and current director, joined Minitub do Brasil in 2001 and still manages the team of 18 people with great pride. The new building, which opened a year ago, offers plenty of room for further growth.
Taking advantage of the last SINSUI and Minitub's already traditional Satellite Symposium on Swine Reproduction, the whole team from Brazil celebrated the 25th anniversary with enthusiasm in the company of guests from Mexico, USA, Argentina, Chile and Germany, of course with a lot of barbecue, beer and caipirinha.
